Truthfully, I have my husband to thank for showing me the possibilities of entrepreneurship. It wasn’t until he resigned from his career as a federal employee in 2016 that I even began to consider what it would be like to have my own business.
Openly, I admired his tenacity and the fortitude it took to build a lucrative business. However… it’s the freedom for me!
Not only was he less stressed, but he also had more time to spend with our daughter. And although I was doing quite well in my professional career, I wanted more. More time, more freedom and more flexibility.
I was tired of coming home exhausted and stressed. You know what I’m talking about, right? Mornings where your body refuses to get out of bed but you will yourself to do it anyway. Or evenings where it takes what little energy you have left to get out of the car. Before long, I was counting down the days until I could hit send on my resignation letter.
Two years after my husband resigned, I started my own Virtual Assistant business. One year later, in January of 2019, I slammed the door on scheduled pay periods and said hello to unlimited income and time freedom.
When I first started my business, I had no automations or business systems in place. For someone who spent their entire career breaking down systems to build them back better, it wasn’t easy. But I wanted to keep business expenses low to use all the money I earned to pay down debt in preparation to resign. Sound familiar?
I was working harder, not smarter. Ultimately, that’s why I became a Business Systems Consultant. I don’t want anyone else to have to go through that.
Using my expertise, you can step away from your business without things falling apart and I can show you how.
